We at Petland Florida made strides against cancer at the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer on Saturday, September 28, 2019. We walked alongside numerous families, friends, and supporters to support children with cancer.

The walk, which took place in Tamiami Park, helped raise funds that go towards St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and their mission to save children with cancer. Along with effective treatments, the hospital provides families with various resources, such as food and housing, without any additional costs.

The institution also performs extensive research on the causes of childhood cancer to help increase the average survival rate. Currently, St. Jude’s efforts and patience with their quality care standards has pushed the survival rate from 20% to more than 80%. 

We are honored to have participated in the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer and furthered their mission to help these children defeat cancer. We can’t wait to join the fight again in next year’s walk!
