On July 1, 2019, various police departments in our wonderful community received a lovely surprise in the form of delicious, well-balanced dog food for their K-9 units. The donation occurred at our Naples location, where police enforcement came to collect the treats for their hard-working K-9s!

K-9 units are essential to our police officers, allowing the law enforcement teams to perform various duties through their special senses. For example, many K-9 units help police departments by detecting dangerous substances and apprehending suspects. All K-9 units undergo years of intense training to perform this type of rigorous work. K-9s are also trained to detect serious threats. Through these tasks, K-9 units have been able to keep up protection and safety in their communities. 

Outside of their line of work, K-9s are calm and friendly which allows police officers to bring them at educational events. We at Petland are incredibly grateful for the amount of training, hard work and dedication that the K-9 dogs and police officers do when keeping our communities safe from harm. We truly hope that our food donation shows how much we appreciate and support these furry helpers and law enforcement departments.
