On Saturday, February 23, 2018, Southeastern Guide Dogs hosted a walkathon at the Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg, FL. Many participants, including Petland Florida, walked alongside their dogs to support guide dogs.

Apart from the 3K walk, there was a live music, food, raffle drawings, and lots of other fun activities for families and their puppies. Southeastern Guide Dogs also provided furry friends with bandanas in an attempt to break an existing world record for largest gathering of dogs wearing bandanas.

Southeastern Guide Dogs is a non-profit organization that works hard to provide service dogs to veterans and those with vision loss. The organization operates quality facilities that employs talented and creative trainers to train puppies into becoming beacons of hope and friendship for those in need.

We at Petland are thankful for the opportunity to support a wonderful organization that helps people through the use of service and guide dogs. For life, puppies become and remain our lifelong furry companions, and we are happy to further this message.

We can’t wait to attend this walkathon next year!
