We at Petland are honored to announce that we recently partnered with the Miami Power Team Foundation to make one of their kid’s wishes come true. 

At Petland Kendall, we donated one of our adorable puppies to a young patient named Sebastian, who had asked Santa for a Yorkie. Our manager, Luis Marquez felt compelled to grant Sebastian’s wish and give him a furry companion as he recovers from his debilitating condition.

Sebastian suffers from a severe birth defect called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, which can cause respiratory problems for those affected. Due to their silky coat, Yorkies are considered a hypoallergenic breed, and won’t further complicate Sebastian’s symptoms. Our puppies are also very friendly and affectionate, and so, we believe Sebastian will have a longtime furry friend!

The Miami Power Team Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to ensure all children with disabilities receive a helping hand by improving their quality of life. The foundation provides resources and activities that give patients the opportunity to create wonderful memories. This, in turn, also helps them feel part of their community. Miami Power Team Foundation also works to spread awareness so that others can support children with disabilities. 

We believe in the Miami Power Team Foundation’s mission, and through our puppy donations, we are glad to be able to enrich our community. As contributors to our community, we want to bring smiles to patients with disabilities and other conditions. We are happy that our puppies are able to create excitement in every individual they meet. 

We are very pleased to have been able to make Sebastian’s wish a reality. With his new Yorkie puppy, Sebastian will have a loyal and friendly furry friend by his side!
